Today my blood sugar looks like this.

If you’re not a diabetic you won’t understand how I feel.

If you’re not a diabetic, you won’t understand how stressful it is to get notifications every 10 minutes from my sensor alerting me that my sugar is spiking and then dropping.

If you’re not a diabetic, don’t try and tell me that you understand how I feel, that it’s not a big deal, and that I’m acting like a *itch.

If you’re not a diabetic, you don’t know how my head, stomach, and entire body feels from having to eat tons of sugar to keep my blood sugar high enough so I don’t pass out, then turn around and do a corrective for 10 units because it’s spiked above 400.

If you’re not a diabetic, you won’t understand how trying to focus on reading one sentence is near impossible when you’re dizzy and can’t see properly.

If you’re not diabetic, don’t get angry with me for being so tired and wore out. My body has been through absolute hell today, it needs to rest.

If you’re not a diabetic don’t cause a fight with me just because you don’t like the way I’m acting when my blood sugar looks like this.

Yes I may be moody, but if you were in my shoes you would be too, please try and understand how I feel and what my day has looked like.
